Always up to something

Every minute of your Lentopet's life is simulated, whether you're watching or not! The beautiful e-paper screen never goes to sleep, so any time you look down you might see something new. Maybe your pet is enjoying some morning coffee, maybe they're in a bad mood, or perhaps they're gambling with an unscrupulous friend

No grinding, just vibes

Many virtual pets have gameplay loops based on playing minigames, to earn currency, to buy Stuff. Lentopet is designed for those who want the companionship of a virtual pet without repetitive grinding, so it has short interaction sessions and no currency. Your Lentopet is meant to enhance your daily life, not distract you from it!

Interactions that matter

Instead of minigames, Lentopet has activities that connect to your real life. Go on a walk and uncover surprises with the built-in pedometer mode! Work or study with your pet using the 25 minute "Hot Springs" focus timer. Or take a break and read a selection of short poems on the e-reader. Special contextual activities may also appear throughout the day!

FAQ

Lentopet is currently in development! While there is no estimated timeline yet, we have begun some external playtests and hope to have more news soon

The Lentopet software is not yet available for sale. In the meantime, there may be some playtesting opportunities for Watchy owners!

The main developer is me, Robin LoBuglio! I've worked in the games industry for many years, usually working on enemy and animal NPCs in VR games. I've also made Twitter bots and other "digital life" side projects, and Lentopet is the culmination of many of the ideas I've pursued my entire career

I'm joined by my partner Brian, who has been helping with engineering support, branding materials, and 3D product design!

Right now the best way to support Lentopet is to follow us on Instagram and other socials, and spread the word about the project! Building a community is be hugely important to the success of the project

You can email me at [email protected], or DM me on Instagram!

In addition to Lentopet, Brian and I are also working on Dandelion Void, an interstellar survival game. You can find out more about the project Here!.
